The firm is pleased to welcome Ashley Stephens, Social Worker. Ashley will be focusing her energy in both adoption and ARTS (specifically, gestational surrogacy). Ashley is from Spartanburg, South Carolina and attended the College of Charleston where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Health Promotion. Ashley previously worked at the law firm during summers off from school, and has had close ties to the firm for years. Ashley received a Master’s degree in both Social Work and Public Health from the University of South Carolina. She then began working for the Ryan White Program as the housing coordinator, while also assisting with event planning and fundraising. Ashley is a licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW) and is currently pursuing her LISW-CP, Licensed Independent Social Worker of Clinical Practice. She is also in the process of becoming a Certified Adoption Investigator.
The firm would also like to announce our Adoption Counselor (Assistant – in training), Bethany Henderson. Bethany is from Spartanburg, South Carolina and a 2013 graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Bethany is herself an adoptee and desires to use her personal experiences and her educational background to help encourage birth parents and adoptive parents. She is hopeful of becoming a licensed South Carolina Certified Adoption Investigator.
